Inspect any domain's default._bimi DNS TXT record, verify whether its DMARC policy meets the strict p=quarantine; pct=100 or p=reject requirement, preview its SVG brand logo, or build your own v=BIMI1 record below.

What is BIMI? Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) is an IETF open specification that displays your official, trademarked brand logo directly next to your authenticated emails in Gmail, Apple Mail (iOS/macOS), Yahoo Mail, AOL, and Fastmail inboxes. Publishing a valid BIMI record at default._bimi.yourdomain.com increases inbox brand recall and boosts open rates by 10% to 38% while visually distinguishing legitimate messages from phishing attempts.
Before any mailbox provider renders your BIMI logo, your domain must enforce a strict DMARC policy of p=quarantine (with pct=100) or p=reject (p=none is explicitly rejected for BIMI). In addition, your vector logo must conform to the SVG Tiny Portable/Secure (SVG Tiny-PS) profile (no <script> tags, no external links, mandatory <title> element, square viewBox, and under 32 KB), and for Gmail and Apple Mail, the SVG must be bound to a cryptographic Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or Common Mark Certificate (CMC) issued by DigiCert or Entrust.
| BIMI Record Component / Prerequisite | Mandatory Technical Requirement (2026) | Common Misconfiguration & Fix |
|---|---|---|
| DNS TXT Host & Version Tag | default._bimi.domain.com → v=BIMI1; l=https://...; a=https://... | Publishing at root @ instead of default._bimi subdomain |
| DMARC Enforcement Prerequisite | v=DMARC1; p=reject; or p=quarantine; pct=100; | DMARC policy set to p=none or pct<100 (disables BIMI rendering) |
| SVG Tiny-PS Logo File (l= tag) | HTTPS URL · profile="tiny-ps" · baseProfile="tiny" · <title> present | Exporting standard Illustrator/Figma SVG 1.1 without Tiny-PS sanitization |
| Authority Evidence Certificate (a= tag) | PEM chain (.pem) for VMC (Registered Trademark) or CMC (Prior Use) | Linking only the leaf certificate instead of full intermediate PEM chain |
